The Tempest is widely believed to be Shakespeare's last tragicomedy play. He is believed to be symbolized as Prospero in the book. Prospero renounces magic in the book similar how Shakespeare gave up writng, his own magic. The book discusses society's weakness's such as illusions and hunger for power. Shakespeare's play provided great entertainment for the public and was watched by many people in the Globe Theater.The Tempest was written around 1610.
