The Prince is Machiavelli's complete "how to book" on how to rule over people, published in 1513. The book contains controversial advice which tell rulers to sometime rule by force and fear. He names his compilation of theories "The Prince", mocking that an actual chariming prince is actually a fairy tale and that true leadership requires one to be use force if necessary.
