The Gutenberg Bible was the first book printed by Gutenberg's printing press. This Bible was read by people of all social classes and finally allowed religious material to be exposed to the public rather than being kept by the Church. It eventually helped fuel the Protestant Reformation which occured a few years later; and in the long run, the Age of Information. It was first published in the 1450s.

Johann Gutenberg is one of the most influential people of history for his invention of the printing press. More information can be found in the "Important Figures" exhibit.
